The Conical Refiner consists of a conical rotor with a blade, a conical outer casing and a gap adjustment mechanism. The movement of the slurry mainly depends on the external pressure difference between the inlet and outlet and the guiding force in the grinding chamber. Gap adjustment is achieved by axially moving the knife roll or moving the bottom tool holder.
